Xbox Games Offered Free With New Windows Phone 7

Microsoft had recently announced that it has sold over 1.5 million Windows Phone 7 handsets in the first six weeks of its introduction. Looks like, the company is looking to make even a sweeter offer to score more revenue points. If you are planning to buy a Windows Phone 7, then now is the time to do it as the company is offering a free Xbox game with each handset.

Although, the company gives you a choice of Halo- Reach, Fable III, Kinectimals and Kinect Joy Ride, but with only 4 games on offer, the line-up is pretty puny, to say the least. Anyways, all you need to do is to buy a new WP7 phone and then use its IMEI number on the redemption page for staking claim to your new game. It seems like Microsoft is looking to kill two birds with one stone, since two of the offered titles are for Xbox Kinect. So, we guess Microsoft is hoping that this holiday season, you will not only spring for WP7 but may also buy a Kinect so as to use your new game.

  • If you were already planning to buy a Window 7 phone, this
is a great deal. If not, it’s probably not worth it. I assume the
promotion works whether you pay for the phone or get a free one as
part of a carrier upgrade offer.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
