The iPhone 5 speculation is here again. This time the rumour stems from the fluctuation of the price of Steve's hardware.
As a general rule (and you know what they are like with rules) Apple doesn't discount current model products.
However they did break their own rule over Thanksgiving by offering the iPad with a slight price break.
But now, more interestingly, with the iPhone 4 presumably not even halfway through its lifespan, Apple is allowing one discount retailer to sell the iPhone 4 for 25% off.
And the iPhone 3GS at more than half price.
It seems strange that there should be price cuts when iPhone sales are at an all time peak, which has lead the internet conspiracy theorists to suggest that Apple are trying to get rid of their current stock.
And why would they want to do that? Because the 5th incarnation of their smartphone is on its way say the Apple fans. (with the incoming 'Verzion iPhone' helping to fuel the rumour.)
So what do you think this is? a simple discount or a sign of things to come?
