Amazon's Kindle App for Android has received an update in the form of Version 2.0, offering a variety of new features for the eBook reader on Android devices.
The new version offers the ability to purchase content in-app, and access to Amazon's library of newspapers and magazines. The app itself can now be stored in various places, meaning that you can keep the app on a microSD card if you wish. Other minor changes include; the appearance of chapter titles in the reader status bar, zoom function for images, and the ability to set your volume keys as page turners.
The app has also jumped onto the social integration band wagon, allowing updates of your reading progress. The updated app can now be found in the Android App Marketplace available for free by searching “Kindle” or if you’re feeling adventurous try the QR code below.
