Amazon.co.uk gives Wii fans one last chance…Wii’s can be found in the UK

Amazon* gave Wii fans more hope today releasing more Wii’s for sale. I received the email below from Amazon at 1.30 PM informing me of more Wii’s becoming available between 3-4 PM. I eagerly awaited but they appeared and then disappeared within a few minutes. I also saw that John Lewis* had them in stock but desperately trying to buy one got to the checkout and they vanished from my basket.

I’ve been up since 8am this morning trying to get my hands on one; I’ve also been out in the car to stores and shopping centres across Yorkshire hoping there maybe some left. I was told by employees that people had queued since 1.30 PM on Thursday to get one – Many stores didn’t even get 10.

If your still trying to get one for Christmas your only real guarantee to get one for Christmas is to buy it on ebay*– but you’ll have to pay a premium. If your really lucky though some high street stores like Toys R US, Woolworths* and most supermarkets like Tesco* and Asda* are not taking pre-orders in store so as more stocks become available this is the place to go if your feeling lucky.

All the stores like PC World, Currys, Game, GameStation have already allocated their stocks to pre-order customers so these stores are not even worth checking.

Great news! We’ve managed to get our hands on some more Wii consoles and will be putting them on sale between 3pm and 4pm today (Friday, December 8). Last time we sold out in 7 minutes and we expect this batch to go even more quickly.

Nintendo sold 600,000 consoles in just 8 days in the US, so you can bet that the Nintendo Wii is THE must-have item of 2006.
