The UK (though financial crippled, frozen and smashed to pieces by protestors) is pushing to be the one of the leading country's in technology world. We've already heard of Government's wishes for nationwide super-fast broadband and now David Cameron is asking Twitter to set its nest in London.
A Twitter delegation were met at Number 10 last Thursday by the PM and bumbling London Mayor Boris Johnson in a bid to woo the micro blogging site to London as opposed to a rival European capital.
If Twitter are tempted it will be their first office outside America.Cameron's party appeared to succeed in impressing Twitter's head of international strategy tweeted: "Hugely impressed with PM Cameron @MayorOfLondon & the @Number10gov teams."
A spokesperson for Twitter refused to commit to the UK however: “We are considering London and other European locations to create an initial and small presence in 2011.”
The government's plea comes as Cameron attempts to turn his vision for a "Silicon Valley" in the east end of London into a reality.
Things are looking promising for us though, East London Tech City has already signed up firms including Google and Facebook.
But there’s only so much we can take from the US we are only a tiny spec on the globe in reality.
