Sprint did not even mention the operating system the tablet might be running on, however it did say that the company is contemplating launching slate devices running platforms other than Android. Mobile Carrier Company currently offers only one tablet device i.e Samsung Galaxy Tab. This development may mean a Windows 7 tablet, although the company has already confirmed that it would be releasing BlackBerry PlayBook in 2011.

Though there is one more scoop about 4G Sprint tablet. The tablet might come from HTC stable, as the company filed for HTC EVO Shift 4G trademark in November. Sprint seems to be confident about the success of the tablet as it reveals that a vast majority of CIOs are now interested in providing tablets to their employees. What is your view?
