Dead Rising Mobile Comes To iTunes App Store

If you're a zombicidal maniac who wants to have a portable hack and slash game for your Apple device, you will be pleased to know that Dead Rising Mobile has come out today. The App is available now from the iTunes App Store, giving everything you would expect from the Capcom franchise along with some interesting social features to boot.

Dead Rising Mobile sticks with the original games protagonist Frank West, fighting your way through the hordes of zombies in the same shopping centre setting using the vast selection of guns and melee weapons for a variety in the spice of death. The controls also allow for more varieties of attacking using a real time action style of button pressing giving you a little bit more than just swinging and shooting.

The most intriguing feature of the game however, is its social interactions with friends via Facebook and Twitter. If you are tragically killed in game, you can send a distress call to friends who have the game, giving them the choice to revive you. Reviving a friend gives you bonus points and the revived player can keep playing without losing any experience points. If the friend chooses not to revive you for whatever reason, you can reappear in their games as a named zombie to have some indirect brain eating vengeance (you tragically can't control the zombie yourself).

Dead Rising Mobile is currently available on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3rd and 4th Generation and better, with iPad compatibility coming in the next update. The game can be bought for £2.99 from the iTunes App Store so if you're a fan of the series it's definitely worth getting. Happy Hunting!

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
