Google Nexus S is currently available only in the US and UK markets, however, Samsung are now giving pointers about the overseas availability of the phone. The handset is likely to hit a couple of additional markets including Russia in February, 2011. But the version will be slightly different from the one available in the US and UK.
Instead of sporting Super AMOLED display of the US & UK version, the international edition will have 4-inches of Super Clear LCD. Although, the reasons behind the change have not been mentioned, but it is assumed that S-AMOLED displays are still facing supply crunch. The reviews so far have been kind towards Super Clear LCD, so it really would not be a big loss for international folks. According to some reviews, Super Clear LCD actually provides more acute images. At the very same time, the screen is also expected to be bigger energy hog than Super AMOLED. The same display panel has also been used for Samsung Wave II S8530.
