Smartphone market is booming and the consumer is being pampered with latest models on the daily basis. However, no matter, how much smartphone users claim to be in love with their gadgets, the truth is that brand loyalty is almost absent among the smartphone-totters. A yet to be published report has claimed that 56 percent of smartphone owners are open to try out other brands for their next phone purchase. However, Apple does command a significant level of loyalty from its users.
Operating systems are not much lucky either. Only 25 percent of smartphone users are planning t to stick to their operating systems. iOS is at the top of the list with 59 percent of its users planning to stay married to it, whereas only 21 percent of Microsoft OS users have same level of commitment towards their operating system. Loyalty level stood at 35 percent and 28 percent for Blackberry OS and Android users respectively.
Further, 37 percent of the cellphone users are planning to upgrade to smartphones on their next purchase. The survey was conducted in Germany, Britain, Spain, Brazil, China and the United States.
