UK Gadget and Tech News, Reviews and Shopping

Thanksgiving and Black Friday aren’t things we celebrate here in the UK, but when it brings us an excuse to get some good old fashioned tech for cheap prices, I’m willing to celebrate the occasion. Especially when it means we could be able to grab an Xbox 360 for just £60 from the international shopping website Amazon. It can feel a bit like a shameless plug  for the company (I like and use Amazon frequently, there’s no point in denying that), but when an opportunity like this comes along it can’t really be ignored.

According to amazon.co.uk’s Black Friday page, we can be seeing deals including 60% off Xbox Consoles, 60% off Wii consoles, 50% off Sony Blu-ray players, and 60% off Mino HD camcorders. There’s some other deals too, but we only care about the tech stuff of course. The deals seem to start dishing out at various times and days from Monday 22nd November, and will continue until Black Friday (the 26th) at least.

The information on what variations of the consoles will be affected by the deals, or whether it will apply to bundles (or require purchasing other items) is unknown, but if you consider Microsoft’s 4GB Xbox 360 slim console, then you could be looking at grabbing one for just £60. The same question applies to the other offers really, but it looks to be that we could be getting Blu-ray players, Wii’s, and HD camcorders pretty cheap.

So if you’re thinking of buying some fancy tech for the Christmas shopping rush and want to save a decent amount of money, you will probably want to be checking Amazon every day until you find what you want. These too good to be true deals may sound a little far-fetched, but Amazon is one that’s probably worth trusting not to screw you over in these matters.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
