Elecom Release 'Wireless' Headphones For iPod Shuffle

Thanks to the small size of the iPod shuffle, we can see wireless headphones take on a whole new meaning thanks to the guys at Elecom. The latest wireless headphones from Elecom aren’t using some sort of infrared or bluetooth technology to get music wirelessly from your iPod Shuffle to the headphones, but you may be wondering why one ear feels a little heavier than the other.

The shuffle itself will find itself clipped on to one side of the headphones which have the 3.5mm jack on the earpiece, making them more closely resemble a speaker dock than headphones. The behind the neck headphones which are known as Actrail are currently on sale in Japan for ¥4,200 (£31 approx.) in pink and white designs, but we should expect similar designs coming from companies in other countries arriving in the future.

We already know that the most recent line of Apple products can make good accessories (much thanks to third party developers). For example, we’ve seen that the iPod Nano can make a rather great watch. You could be clad in fancy Apple accessories to show off your devices to the general public (DISCLAIMER: You may feel like a complete tool), also why you would own both the nano and shuffle would probably confuse a few people. Maybe the same headphones could be made to cater for the iPod Nano too.
