It seems Toshiba’s entry into Android tablets has been nothing short of a disaster. UK retailers Dixons, Currys and PC World (the main three electronic retailers) have halted sales of the Folio 100 after a “high return rate” for multiple issues. Ouch.
Shops have pulled it off their websites and deliberately boosted the price to £999 to deter customers from asking about a sale.
Complaints include such delights as;
-The absence of Android Market
-The absence Flash support
– Random wakeups from standby
– Lack of responsiveness.
It doesn't stop there either. Some owners have also complained of:
-Poor quality display
-Low build quality
-Fragile 'shell'
Unsurprisingly Toshiba hasn’t commented.
We all seen this coming didn't we?
A load of poor quality tablets were rushed out after the iPad and now they are falling to pieces. So these 'iPad killers' or doing nothing but helping the iPad sales. Apple currently hold 95 percent of the tablet space and I can't see anything that could dent that significantly at the moment.

What a disaster and this makes toshiba look foolish and makes ipad look all the more better. Toshiba stay in line with all the other ipad wannbe or just don’t get involvded. This shows that they don’t care about their customers and neither their own reputation. I have a toshiba laptop and this flop will make me not support anything else from them. I am an android user and I am very disappointed in this. Why rush something out like that.
I have my folio 100 since november 11th and I have to agree 100% with all the complaints. It is a big flop. No flash support. It has no access to android market but only to a Toshiba Market containing about 1000 apps. I have tried many and most of them are of poor quality or simply do no work. Additionally, it has a very narrow vision angle, forcing you to keep it in a position that is not very comfortable for long time web surfing or typing. There are better options on the market and the least I can say is that I am disappointed with Toshiba.
