Apple made its foray into social networking with the introduction of Ping, however, unlike most of the other products or serviceintroduced by Apple, Ping failed to generate the buzz. Now, the specialized social networking service is getting a helping hand from Twitter. The microblogging service will now let its users to connect their Twitter accounts with Ping. With such merging of accounts, you can now embed song previews directly into your tweets.
Another 'upside' of the service is that now your followers will be updated about all your activities on Ping. So, if you have Twitter friends who are into Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, consider yourself warned! Your Twitter stream might just get flooded with those annoying song previews.
If rumors are to be believed, then Apple had tried to form such alliance with FaceBook, but failed. Actually, this feature was announced on the day of Ping's launch. But it took FaceBook only a day to ditch Ping and the social networking site blocked its access to the site. FaceBook pulled the same trick with Twitter too. So, understandably, the two firms joined hands to from their own partnership. So, what do you say about the new collaboration? Do you think it would be useful or is it just another ploy for some people to annoy others with their questionable music preferences?
