YouTube is planning to start a new feature that will help users in searching videos using broader search terms and topics. The new
feature, You Tube Topics, will carry out suggested searches and will be available under TestTube section of the website. You Tube Topics is a dynamic cloud consisting suggested search terms and the cloud will be based on your search pattern.
YouTube is also adding "addition" button under YouTube topics, which will appear as a 'Plus' sign next to the related topics. When you click on this sign, the search term will be added to your query and a new search will be conducted.
YouTube is essentially trying to encourage the discovery of new videos. It is also striving for more accurate search function. YouTube Topics will utilize algorithmic data from YouTube comments, tags and others. The company has called it "conceptual autocomplete". The feature is expected to be rolled out soon.
