Tablets are gaining strength and now Toshiba has come out with one of the first Dual-Core processor powered tablet Folio 100. The
tablet comes complete with Nvidia 1GHz Tegra 2 processor and a GeForce Graphics card which will let you play high-def 1080p video. These specs sound especially attractive given that iPad runs a single-core Arm processor and its videos are limited to 720p resolution.
Among the other specs, Folio 100 boasts of a 10.1 inch mulittouch display and weighs around 760 grams. Thus the tablet is not only slightly bigger than 9.7 inch iPad but also is heavier to iPad's 680 grams. Folio 100 uses Android .2 and on an average its batteries last for 7 hours on a single charge. Folio also supports Flash and has a 1.3 MP webcam, a USB and an HDMI port. For downloading apps and games, you will have access to Toshiba Market Place. Its onboard memory is capped at 16GB but you can expand it by 32 GB using an SD Card.
Folio 100 has already hit the shelves and is available for Euro 399 and Euro 529 range depending on the model and the country. In the UK, you can get one for sweet £329. So what do you think? Are the specs sexy enough for you to go for Toshiba instead of iPad this holiday season?

They have launched it without flash! we will have to wait for an update, got it home and opened the box to find a leaflet telling me to register for an update! What a poor show and Toshiba are not sure when it is coming.
