The Apple Mac App Store which was announced by Steve Jobs at the Mac OS X and Macbook air event not too long ago has opened its doors to various developers who wish to submit their apps for the release has begun today.
Back at the event, Jobs stated that the store would be open within 90 days and that the app submissions would start in November. It seems Apple has stuck to their word and hasn’t done their now trademarked delay shenanigans.
The Mac App Store will mean that various apps and software will be available from Apple for your Macs. Some controversy around the matter has been raised around the matter of Apple ‘controlling’ what we have on their devices and has faced criticisms from developers such as Mozilla, but the store is much welcomed by others for the convenience it holds.
So now we know that the upcoming store is taking in apps for their release, all their is to do now is to wait for the release of the store itself – which is still unconfirmed at this time – but expect it soon.
