LG To Launch Android Tablet in 2011

LG was set to enter the tablet market this holiday season. At least, that was the plan until Google dropped the bombshell that none of its OS version is suitable for tablet devices. This announcement apparently put a halt on LG's plan. But the company is now set to come out with its LG Pad during the first quarter of the next year. The tablet will ostensibly be running on Honeycomb version.

According to an LG rep, the tablet will have a dual core Tegra 2 inside it and will come with an 8.9 inch display. Both the US and Europe can expect to lay their hands on the tablet early next year. The company chose to withhold important factors such as price point. So, would you wait for a Honeycomb tablet or are you just going to grab one of existing tablets during the holiday season.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
