So the million dollar question is "What would happen if a MacBook and an iPad hooked up?" Apparently, that's the question SteveJobs and his executives asked themselves before they came out with new 11.6 inches and 13.3 inches MacBook Airs. Finally, a new variant of "the world's thinnest computer" with 11.6 inches screen and the older 13.3 inches Air with substantial overhaul are out.
The new MacBook Airs do not have any hard drive and like their predecessor do not have any optical drive either. Both the models are equipped with front-facing camera, Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics and a Core 2 Duo Processor. Jobs has claimed the laptops' memory to be up to two times faster and much smaller and lighter. Both the computers come with Instant On capability.
The smaller model will have a base price of $999 whereas 13.3 inches model pricing starts at $1,299 for 128GB storage. If you want to have a computer with bigger storage, you will have to shell out $1,599 for 256GB space. 11.6 inches model shares its thinness with 13.3 inches model but is lighter in weight at 2.3 pounds. Its basic model with 1.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and 64 GB storage can be yours for $999 and $128 GB model will cost $1, 199.
