We have finally got the official release date for the awaited Boxee Box by D-Link, the media streaming device which supports 1080p HD video and 5.1 surround sound, with a unique look of a cube which looks like one of its corners is going into a surface. The device is looking to be shipping from pre-order reatailers (such as amazon) on November 10th, and is looking to be available from stores from November 17th in the US (UK retailers dates are still vague).
The Boxee box will mark the debut of their accompanying software Boxee 1.0 which will at first only work on the Boxee itself but will eventually be compatible with PC, Mac and Linux.
