Nintendo 3DS Games Will Not Be More Expensive Than Normal Ones

Relieving fears some of those who are anxious about the prices revolving around the Nintendo 3DS and its games, Nintendo President Saturo Iwata has said in a Q&A that Nintendo "don't believe that the world is in a state where high priced software will sell well", and in regards to the games said that the prices will be "not too far off from current DS software".

Japanese pricing of the Nintendo 3DS is what may have caused the concerns with a price tag of ¥25,000 (which converts to around £189) which is higher than any of the previous models. Nintendo even cheekily admitted that the price of the 3DS is down to us wanting one enough to dish out the dough.

For now though, we will still have to wait a while before we know how much Nintendo are going to be flogging the device for over here, but it's a relief that the game prices aren't going to set us back any more than normal DS games have been. Would you pay £189 for the upcoming console? Is the news of the games pricing a relief for you? Leave your thoughts below.
