There have been times when I’ve listened to the latest traffic news attentively on my local radio assuming that I have missed the traffic but to my surprise I still managed to get myself stuck in a traffic jam and late for work! I’ve always asked myself why am I so unlucky? Well luck maybe on my side this time with TomTom’s announcement of its premium traffic service TomTom High Definition Traffic (HD Traffic)
HD Traffic receives up to five times more traffic updates and ten times more road updates, giving you the most accurate travel and arrival times, so there will be no need to call your other half and tell them youll be half an hour when really you might be another two hours!
TomTom’s High Definition Traffic service will be available for the first time with the new TomTom ONE XL HD Traffic, which is the same model as the ONE XL but with the additional SIM for advanced up to date traffic advice. It comes with a 12 month introductory subscription to HD Traffic included. After that, you decide if you want to subscribe at the fixed, low cost fee.
Using the built-in SIM card, it is automatically set up through a LIVE connection to the TomTom HD Traffic Centre. No external antenna and no hassle. Just turn on your TomTom and HD Traffic does the rest.
The TomTom ONE XL HD Traffic Europe is available in The Netherlands but will soon be available throughout the United Kingdom as well. So we’ll keep you updated.
