Old MacBook Converted into a Touchscreen Tablet

While we are still waiting for news of Apple to make a touchscreen iMac, it seems we get at home tech geek's beating them to making touchscreen devices out of a MacBook. More precisely, a geek going by the name of EnigmaPenguin has converted his broken MacBook (a Core 2 unit from 2007) into a touchscreen tablet device.

EnigmaPenguin rebuilt the device as a tablet, somehow managing to wedge a touchscreen between the LCD and bezel but has kept the device looking presentable, bar a USB cable sticking out of it (which he says he will later correct). The device seems to be fully functioning and looking good.

You can see EnigmaPenguin's video of the device here. What do you think of this working touchscreen on a MacBook/iMac OS? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
