Apple Scares Off Adidas from $10 Million iAd Deal

A $10 million deal between Adidas and Apple's advertising service iAd has been pulled after Steve Job's interfered in the deal. According to Business insider, Adidas was put off Apple after their control freak ways with Adidas' proposed creative concepts with the advertising campaign were rejected three times.

The Apple application iAd is a mobile advertising platform that can be used for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch which is used by third-party developers, so they can embed advertisements into their applications. However, Apple has taken a lot of control over the App in an attempt to improve quality, meaning they end up making the ads themselves.

Although an Apple rep did not comment on the pulled deal, they have not denied that Adidas is no longer involved in the iAd program. This isn't the first time Apple has lost a big client either, Chanel have done the same thing, keeping away from iAds.

So what do you think of Apple's practice with iAds? Are they acting irrationally or is their control over the iAd app justified? Leave your thoughts below.
