Google's sending Android global. In a recent blog post the internet giant announced that over the next couple of weeks the number of countries where paid applications are offered on the Android Market will be increased.
The changes will allow developers in 20 more countries to sell their applications as well as granting users in an additional 18 countries the ability to purchase the apps. The news comes as no surprise as the OS increases its influence on the smartphone/tablet industry.
So what countries are included? Here they are in alphabetical order: (those bolded will be able to sell apps)
Argentina,
Australia
Belgium,
Brazil,
Canada,
Czech Republic,
Denmark,
Finland,
Hong Kong,
India,
Ireland,
Israel,
Mexico,
New Zealand
Norway,
Poland,
Portugal,
Russia,
Singapore,
South Korea
Sweden,

Taiwan
According to Google: "No action is necessary for developers that have targeted their paid applications to be available in “All Locations” but developers who want to expand or limit the availability of their applications will have to visit the Android Market publisher site over the next two weeks to make the necessary adjustments as the new buyer countries launch."
The increases mean that support for paid application sales is now available in 29 countries, and users from 32 countries can buy applications. But Google have promised there is more to come and with many countries still unable to buy and sell 'paid apps' don't be surprised if you see another huge list of countries before the year’s out.
