It seems high street brand Next has caught many of us off guard, by launching their own brand new tablet device; the Next 10'' Tablet.
The device isn't spectacular, but sports a 10'' WXGA LCD touchscreen display, 2GB of internal storage with an 8GB MicroSD card, 2 USB ports, a microphone and a 1GHz Arm 11 processor with 802.11b/g WiFi. The device is also running using the Android OS.
The device is definitely not aimed for the tech junkies, and instead seems to be a device for home use, with only 3 hours of battery life. Also, the device is single touch rather than the now commonly used multitouch.
Despite its low-end specs, the device is by far the cheapest tablet device now on the market, coming in at £180 and it is available now from the Next Directory.
What do you think of the low spec, low price tablet? Would you fork out the cash for one or would you rather spend a lot more for a lot more? Leave your thoughts below.
