Nintendo 3DS Ships in March: Gets a Front Facing Camera

So the suspense is over. Nintendo 3DS finally has got a release date. The handheld console will hit the market shelves in the US and

Europe in March. As always, the land of rising sun is luckier than us mere mortals, Japan will get 3DS on February 26. The price tag for Japan is 25,000 Yen or app. $298. Prices for the US and Europe have  not been disclosed. You will get the color choice of cosmo black and aqua blue.

The main feature of this new version is its front facing camera. It will allow you to take a picture and then immediately convert into Mii. Apart from that, if you are not happy with your Mii, you can always edit and you can also merge two images to create a Mii. 3DS will also feature local wireless "tag mode" function, which will allow you to interact with other 3DS systems.

The company has also confirmed that it is on its way to develop a new Wii Remote Plus, although it declined to give any release date. However, it did give out launch date of October 28th for a special edition Super Mario DSi LL.
