Chrome Web Store Coming Soon? Google Starts to Move

It's being speculated that the Google Chrome Web Store will be going live soon. This is due to Google having been reported to have started to ask US developers to link their apps up to Google Checkout merchant accounts. This would be so Google can preview the apps before they are put up in the store on its opening day.

Google have also released some guidelines which explain how to upload to the web store, which explains use of logos, screenshots and promotional images.

Although no date has been confirmed as of yet, it is expected the Google Chrome Web Store will be up and running in a matter of weeks. Are you looking forward to the new store from Google? Leave your thoughts below.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
