TK-421: The iPhone QWERTY Keyboard Case

Are you an iPhone user that feels that using a Touchscreen all the time is too much, are you just wish you had a physical keyboard like those Blackberry users? Well, those clever fellows at ThinkGeek have created an iPhone case with a flip-out keyboard.

The TK-421 is a rather cool looking case which can fit for the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS. The case keeps the keyboard hidden behind your iPhone which with a twist will give you full use of the keyboard which is magnetically attached to the case (so no fears of it falling out). The keyboard connects to your iPhone via the Bluetooth keyboard support which was built into the latest iOS, so unfortunately iPhone 3G are out of the game for this.

The Keyboard has a rechargeable battery that requires a USB cable and is available now for $50. What do you think of having a physical keyboard for the iPhone 4/3GS? Leave your thoughts below.

i think few iphone users need this device. it is small and uncomfortable ! if you want to type long article ,you can use a PC , if you like to use phone with keyboard , you can choice a blackberry . as for me , i will not buy a ipone keyboard ! i maily use my iphone 4 watching movies combining my Aneesoft iphone video converter .

  • I previously enjoyed using a BlackBerry Storm but the problem with it was the touch-screen. I just can’t get used to a touch-screen keyboard and I only use Mac’s so I had to upgrade to an iPhone so I could sync my data but BlackBerry didn’t allow this so I was really happy with an iPhone 3GS (it was about 3 months before the iPhone 4 was released). I now still have a problem with the touch-screen keyboard but not as much as I did on the BlackBerry however using a qwerty keyboard on my previous Blackberry 7250 really sealed the deal for me on qwerty keyboards so I’m really excited about this product and I hope I can get it in the UK because I prefer actual keyboards. I just feel more comfortable typing on keys than on a screen. Thankyou!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
