Apple TV to Appear on Pre-Odered Doorsteps in a Matter of Days

If you are one of the many people who have gone ahead in all the excitement and given up £99 for the new Apple TV then brace yourselves, because you should be getting your brand spanking new top box in just a few days. It has been confirmed that Apple have started charging the cards of the customers who have pre-ordered the device, meaning it should be on its way soon.

During it's unveiling back in Septmeber 1st, Apple said the Apple TV will be out in four weeks and it seems they are successfully keeping to that promise.

The Apple TV promises 99c TV show rentals for those who are in the USA, however it seems there are no such deals coming to the UK yet, so all we will be getting at the moment will be the AirPlay feature which is used to stream TV, films and music from your Mac or PC to your television. There is also word that NBC seems reluctant to offer their shows to the rental service, as they are concerned the low price "devalues" their programmes.

Are you anxiously waiting for your Apple TV to be shoved through your letterbox? Leave your thoughts below.

  • £99?! I think not! If apple think they are charging us £99 for an Apple TV when it’s only $99 in the US then they have another thing coming. At current exchange rate $99 is £63.36. Now I’d pay that much for it, but not £99. Looks like a cool device but I may wait for Google TV

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
