Nintendo 3DS is set to be released in November. So it is only fair that we are going to spend the remaining time speculating about the
specs of the much anticipated 3D enabled device. Rumors are circulating that the handheld powerhouse will wield not one but two processors. It is likely to have two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs. Although it is not known which variant of ARM CPU is being used, but we are satisfied with the fact that the handheld is using the same line of processors previously sported by iPhone and iPod Touch. Zune HD also is powered by ARM processor.
These CPUs will be provided equally good company of 4MBs of dedicated VRAM, 64MBs of RAM and 133MHz GPU. This GPU maxes out at 200MHz and has been named PICA200. Although, Nintendo will have it calibrated at 133MHz. Another major upgrade is related to memory. 3DS will come with 1.5GBs of flash memory, way more than 256MBs that came with DSi. Further, there is a SD card slot which can be used to expand the memory. So far, the specs sound good, however, we'd wait for Nintendo to confirm. Until then, we are just going to dream away. These specs have just made the holiday season much more appealing.

DS/i both have 2 cpus so nothing new here…i expect both are customized like original DS added 3D/SOUND/BIOS hardware and nice catche memory i also expect DS 2d gpus to still be there not only for total backward compatible play but also usable in 3DS mode along side the pica200 gpu
a beastly little device for gaming code
