Word is that Froyo is coming to the big bad Droid X on Wednesday.
Motorola has said that it is “still on track for a summer launch of Android 2.2 for Droid X,” plus there's new information onDroid Life that Motorola's flagship Android handset will be blessed with the update starting tomorrow "at noon Eastern Time."
Plus Verizon’s posted the update document (below), revealing that besides 2.2, Droid X users will get improved visual voicemail with Bluetooth support, a refreshed mobile hotspot app, and a fix to prevent data connections from dropping as they move between WiFi and 3G coverage.
So are the rumours true? Of course they are. I'm just teasing you. The update has been officially confirmed by Verizon plus, what's even better is you don't have to wait for an OTA update. Users can go into the settings of their Droid X and search out the update on their own when it becomes available.
