If you thought the 3DS was some sort of crazy Japanese rumour or something that would not happen for many years. Then you're wrong. It's here and it's happening now. At its Tokyo Game Show press conference today (yes it seems everyone is having a press conference today) Electronic Arts revealed a new title for the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS.
Well at least the news is exciting because the game is certainly not.
A new game for a new era in portable gaming, so what have EA created? A gardening sim named 'My Garden.'
Yes you heard right, 'My Garden.'
Directly from the publisher’s EA Play range, My Garden is said to incorporate the “beauty and complexity of the natural world.”
Go on, "Your guide, and the adorable mascot of My Garden, is Tanuki, a mythical Japanese creature that’s part raccoon, part dog. With Tanuki, you’ll manage your garden, take pictures and share them with other Nintendo 3DS owners."
Hmm I'm not convinced are you?
EA plans to release My Garden alongside the launch of the Nintendo 3DS (whenever that is). The publisher says it will release more information on My Garden next month.
It seems like a bit of a waste of a 3D portable console but then again, the DS is a platform that can make anything fun, even gardening. Viva Pinata on Xbox was a good gardening game I suppose.
Regardless, it's still exciting to see 3DS news.
