Apple iOS 4.1 Forgets its Way to Developers & Gets Leaked

As you might be aware, during September 1 Apple Gala, Steve Jobs had announced the release of iOS 4.1 for the developers. However, seems like something went awry and the version that got released actually works on all the iPhones and iPod Touch although it was meant to work only on the developers units. But seems like that is not the case, and the version is now available online for download. Good people at MobileCrunch have even provided the link to a website which is currently hosting the 4.1 version of iOS.

As for iOS4.1, the OS upgrade has many new features such as TV rentals and iTunes Ping. TV Rental facility will let the users buy music videos, movies or TV Shows from iTunes and watch them directly on their device rather than getting stuck with a computer. The new upgrade also features Apple's social networking music function Ping. Ping will let you follow your favorite bands and artistes and at the time you can create your own profile so that your peers know about the music you are listening to. Apart from this, there is HD video uploading facility and HDR function for iPhone. The update also fixes certain bugs present in iOS4.0. So, are you willing to take the risk and get that sweet update on your Apple device? Let us know.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
