I had a smooth install and froyo is running perfectly on my desire. The only “issue” I came up against was not having 25mb of memory available.. easy to fix. All in all; perfect.

Mine appeared to freeze, but patience paid off and it was fine. Booted up into another HTC installation screen, and bingo; froyo with no problems. There’s a good chance the people “affected” by freezes are simply impatient.

  • I’ve only just heard about this from a buddy with a rooted HTC Desire. Still waiting on the update once O2 has fixed the issues. Seems ridiculous that something like this can happen after O2 delay the release for so long for “testing”. What were they doing in order to fail at the first hurdle?
