The hope is by many manufacturers such as, Toyota that we will say goodbye to our gas guzzling cars and petrol pumps and hello to plug sockets and hybrid cars.
How you may ask is this possible? Well, Toyota has announced plans to introduce a fleet of cars by 2010 that can be recharged by plugging them into a regular plug socket.
Revealed at the Detroit Auto Show, the new fleet of cars by Toyota will be based on lithium-ion batteries and will go full steam ahead with GM’s rival Chevy Volt car, also due in 2010. So I say watch this space as I sense a war brewing between the Hybrids!
