Typical of the British climate, just as September hits and everyone goes back to school or work, the weather stats to pick up and we finally get a few days of sunshine. Hopefully you've got a few barbeques and garden parties left in you before the dark nights and the cold winds kick in again.
And if you want to end your summer in style then here's the gadget for you. The people at Creative have launched a new wireless Rock Speaker called the 'Sound Blaster Wireless Rock Outdoor Speaker.' Gone will be the days of music blasting out of your conservatory on an old iPod dock you got for Christmas about three years ago.
Surprisingly it's not actually the first 'rock speaker' to hit the market but it is one of the best we've seen.
The fully weather resistant speaker is designed to be used outside in a garden. It has a detachable, rechargeable battery and perhaps the best feature is that it can have music wirelessly sent to it from a computer or other compatible audio device.
The speaker has a range of up to 100 feet from the source of the wireless signal that transmits the music and comes with a 6.5 inch woofer and stationary tweeter. Overall it measure 12 x 11.1 x 13.8 inches in size.
As for the price, it costs $199.99. You’ll also need to cough up a little extra cash to buy a compatible wireless transmitter. But over on the creative website, they're currently chucking in a free transmitter with each speaker bought at the US store.
Here in the UK the rock will set you back £179.99
