As promised Netflix has finally updated their app (formally reserved for just the iPad) to support the iPhone and iPod.
The free app can be downloaded now, putting Netflix on your phone and you can instantly watch TV shows & movies streaming from Netflix. Like the Spotify app only works for premium users, Netflix needs an unlimited membership. But if you're not a Netflix member you can start your free trial today.
The app allows you to watch TV as often as you want, resume watching where you left off on your TV or computer, browse movies and manage your instant Queue right from your device.
Netflix originally launched the app for the iPad-only and later revealed that the App would come for all iOS devices. The iPhone App seems to support streaming over both Wi-Fi and 3G.
Once the free trial is over, a Netflix subscription starts at $8.99/month which may put some people off but it's worth trying out the app on a free trial and see if you get much use out of it.
Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet but there are strong rumours that there’s an Android app in the works too. So we could be seeing Netflix on Android pretty soon.
