Apple's own television (branded the iTV), is as ambiguous as it gets, and many rumors on the television are currently circulating around it. Now, we have Digg founder Kevin Rose giving his own insider information on the next Apple product. Apparently the iOS-based set-top box, revealed not too long ago is just the beginning for the television. The television is set to use iAd for content providers, presumably changing how we view adverts to help channels make more money.
Expect plenty of other features for the interactive experience, with an app store just for the iTV which is expected to include: video streaming/editing software, plenty of games, news widgets, and integration with MobileMe.
There is also talk of the iPad becoming "one big badass remote control". This 'remote' will allow users to edit video, control their games, and of course change the channel.
The updated iTV is expected to be an extra $99 and is expected to be released September this year. Are you looking forward to the iTV? Will you spend money on this update? Leave your thoughts below.
