O2 has announced that it is releasing the iPhone 4 on their Pay-as-you-go plans, seemingly following in the footsteps of Vodafone's success in doing the same. How does it compare?
Again, like Vodafone, the Smartphone locked to their service doesn't seem to offer much of a bargain compared to an unlocked version from Apple with the 16GB model going at £495 and the 32GB going at £595 offering a miniscule £4 saving on both handsets.
So what could it be that may pull you in? Well as for the PAYG monthly costs, if you top up between £10 and £14/month you will get you 300 free text messages, £15-29 gets you 500 free texts and topping up a whopping £30+ will get you unlimited texts. Whenever you top up, you get 500MB of data to use that month.
If you're interested in this deal, you can get the phone right now from the online store. Are you drawn in by O2's offer? Leave your thoughts below.

I chuckle when I see that you get ‘so many free texts’ for ‘so much money’. It makes me laugh because there is no such thing as ‘free’ as it’s all built into the cost. In this case it’s the extortionate cost of the handset.
A saying that I’ve grown up with and that I still use today is ‘you don’t get owt for nowt’.
