Sony have decided to do a bit of Apple bashing in their latest commercial. After Apple has been going around bragging that their iPhone has more games than the DS and the PSP, Sony have reacted with blatant swipe at Steve and Co.
Basically says Sony. 'You might have more games, but they're crap.'
In the advert which can be viewed over at T3 shows a gamer showing off a new title called "Lame Castle" on a device which is the spit of an iPhone. In response to the "sweet game", a PSP-toting kid says, "That ain't built for big boy games. It's built for texting your Grandma and calling your girl."
After giving away ten free games to drag in the summer punters it seems Sony are desperately trying to revive a dying handset. It's done well in its time but let's not forget it's over four years old and things in the portable gaming market are changing fast.
The latest smartphones are bringing out some great games and then there's of course, the 3Ds which is set to revolutionise handheld gaming. There just doesn't seem to be much going for the bulky PSP at the moment. Its key features, gaming and music are in the iPhone and many other phones.
They're is though a lot of crap to sift through in app markets before getting to the half-decent games and the PSP has still got the advantage of UMD films which you can pick up for next to nothing now.
Let's see if Apple react or Nintendo decide have a go too
