Verizon’s iPhone 4 Rumoured to Include Internal Antenna, Larger Display and Faster Processor?

Since the release of the iPhone 4 in the US, there has been quite a lot of speculation regarding the iPhone 4 and whether it could be heading to Verizon. No details of a release date or whether Verizon will be selling the iPhone 4 has been confirmed by Apple to date. However, it would now appear that this recent piece of news from tech site, Dvice may mean that news of Apple and Verizon’s partnership is becoming even more real.

An insider source from Dvice, who claims to be in contact with various prototypes of the iPhone 4 for Verizon suggests that it will feature a larger screen than the current iPhone 3.7 inch screen and a 1.2 GHz faster processor compared to the 1 GHz processor found on the recent iPhone 4. As well as this the Verizon iPhone 4 is expected to feature an internal antenna as opposed to an external one to hopefully fix the handgrip of death issue found on the iPhone and will feature a more rugged exterior.

Although, we would love to believe the rumours, and I can see the antenna fix being likely, however making aesthetic and internal changes to the iPhone 4 just for Verizon does sound a little hard to believe as it would mean a lot more work for Apple making a customised iPhone 4 just for one carrier.

What do you think? Could the rumours be true? Leave us your thoughts below…

Apple know best, nothing will change their mind about that. Their current design of iPhone is, in their mind, the best. No way would they adapt their design for a lesser company.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
