I know we have all been wanting to hear more news about the iPhone 4 jailbreak since famous hacker Geohot teased us a few weeks ago that he had found the hack but would remain tight lipped about a release date.
Well, it would appear that since then things have been a little quite on jailbreak front. However, people are now speculating that the reason for the delay is to down to key apps, which include FaceTime which are slowing things down.
MuscleNerd explained on Twitter that the "The new JB+unlock won't be out today (there are issues with important apps like FaceTime that need to be figured out"¦no sense releasing a half-broken JB)".
Although, MuscleNerd and gang haven’t indicated when the iPhone 4 jailbreak will be released, it does however suggest from the tweet that if it isn’t today it will be shortly.
Call me a cynic but I can’t help wondering whether it is FaceTime that is giving them the problems or whether they are waiting for iOS 4.1 update to come out of its beta stage to release it? What do you think? Leave your thoughts below…

If the only problem is with FaceTime, I don’t think that should preclude the jailbreak release. iPhone 4 minus FaceTime is not half-broken, it’s 99 percent working.
Thinking conspiratorially, I’d agree that there’s another reason; yes, perhaps the next update, or perhaps other problems. I can’t imagine why they’d lie though, or withhold information. Perhaps to encourage Apple’s release of the next firmware version?
FaceTime = glorified webcam at the present moment due to only working on wifi…. I agree 99% if not more working…. Has anyone even bothered with this function yet 8) I was quite amused when the great Apple was using it as a sales pitch, but hey, big up to MuscleNerdand the boys wanting the jailbreak to be perfect. Perfection is an art…..
