The latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager is yet to be released, but the software 5.0.1.4 is already available on the internet.
Apparently, the guys (or gals) at www.driphter.com had placed a link on their website. The latest update is that the site had to remove the link, pursuant to BlackBerry's appeal. However, it looks like that you did not lose much. According to the early birds, the updated version did not contain anything groundbreaking, and was rather staid. Although, the leaked version is compatible with the newer BlackBerry devices which are not supported by the earlier Desktop Manager.
If you did not listen to us and still visited the Driphter site, you might have noticed that it still has active links for downloading yet unreleased BlackBerry OS version 5.0.0.822 for Bold 9000, Curve 8520 and Curve 8900. Although, I would not recommend downloading and installing this software on your phone, since it will not supported by your carrier, even then if you are feeling like playing on the rough side today and download this software, then let us know about any cool feature you come across.
And time for the boring disclaimer, these downloads are leaked versions and not official releases, therefore there is a high chance that you might end damaging your beloved device. Please back up your phone to minimize your grief, in case things decide to take a wrong turn.
