Firefox Home for iPhone is Released: Will it be Enough to Entice Safari Users?

Those guys at Mozilla have been extremely busy recently. As we told you a few days ago, their popular internet browser has been updated to version 4 (beta) and once it is finalised into ‘version 4.something’ it promises to be a cutting edge, fast, efficient web browser which could scare Google Chrome and IE.

But despite their efforts to dominate the tight web browsing market they've still found the time to jump from PC to portable.  Firefox Home has been released into the App Store and Apple have officially gave it the green light which is quite a left-wing move for Apple who are usually very guarded about the apps released onto their store and this new app means that Mozilla will be battling head to head with Apple's own Safari browser.

Safari seems like a stable browser on iPhone there's not a lot of problems with it and then there's also the option of Opera (another browser given the go ahead by Apple) so the Firefox app is really only exciting news for those who are loyal to the fox.

If you run Mozilla's browser on your home computer, you can now sync your bookmarks and open tabs between your desktop and your phone which could be a great feature for those web addicts out there.

The app is available to download now and it shows that Mozilla are on the ball, jumping into what is becoming a huge market for software of any type.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
