Microsoft’s COO, Kevin Turner, just couldn’t help himself and has poured salt in the wounds of Apple after he said that Apple’s new iPhone 4 is like their poorly received Windows Vista.
In a put-down that will anger Apple, the Microsoft big-wig said: “It looks like the iPhone 4 might be [Apple's] Vista, and I'm okay with that."
It has been a bad couple of weeks for Apple, and it could get worse with a special Apple press conference tomorrow where they have said that they will solve the antenna problem for good – a recall maybe in the works according to rumours across the internet. After Apple lost 4.2% of their share value after well-regarded consumer magazine Consumer Report refused to recommend the phone.
Whether this is Apple’s Vista moment remains to be seen – but it doesn’t look good for both as it would seem that Microsoft have inadvertently admited Vista was terrible and the iPhone 4 isn’t much better.
We will know more tomorrow.

The difference between the iPhone 4 and Vista is that the phone is usable to 98% of the people who bought it and the other problems will be fixed with 1 update.
Vista on the other hand had countless updates and never got any better and was replaced early.
No matter how much you throw s*** at Apple, they don’t moan about the bad press, Steve Jobs is always smiling and joking, never blame a fault on anyone else (see Microsoft) and they knuckle down and sort the problems out very quickly.
Oh…and the iPhone 4 will outsell all other phones, no questions about it.
