Nexus One Getting FM Radio Similar to the HTC Desire

Currently, one of the difference between the HTC Desire and the Google Nexus One is that the Nexus One doesn’t include an FM radio feature.

It has been announced that developers have been looking into releasing a kernel that will allow this functionality to be present in the Google phone. Although this appears to be a step in the right direction this doesn’t necessarily mean that you can go and install a customer ROM that has this support built-in.

It is in the hands of the ROM developers to include this kernel in their work, so if that is the case, how long should we expect to wait? Well, not to long if, Paul O’Brien, developer of Modaco fame has anything to do with it. It has been revealed by UnWiredView.com that he’s already working on the next version of his Sense UI port to the Nexus One, which will include the FM radio so watch this space FM Radio fans.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
