Google Android Gingerbread 3.0 Rumours Disregarded by Dan Morills

Android Froyo 2.2 and its release is now old news. The tech world are now hot on their trails to find out news on Google’s next operating system code named Gingerbread.

This week, new details were revealed regarding Gingerbread and it’s proposed released date, however Dan Morills, Android’s Open Source and Compatibility Tech Lead has hit back at the rumours and sarcastically responded by quoting, “I love it when people just make stuff up” and “rumors are not official announcements.”

So what can me make of this? Is Dan just playing a little hard to get or should we be actually taking these rumours as a pinch of salt. Granted, the rumours may not be exactly what we will expect to hear when the new OS is confirmed, however there is no smoke without fire.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
