iMovie App Unoffically Working on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G

We all know that currently the iMovie app is an iPhone 4 exclusive and iWorks apps is iPad only, however it would appear that some individuals are not allowing these apps to remain exclusive to these Apple products for long. This is because they have been working on unofficially installing Apple iWork and iMovie apps to other iOS devices.

Redmondpie has already posted a video which shows iMovie running on the iPhone 3GS, which has said to be running ‘almost perfectly’, meanwhile one person even got this running on the iPhone 3G, although it has said to crash sometimes. This hack definitely shows that iMovie doesn’t necessarily require a higher RAM and faster processor to work on just the iPhone 4.

There is no news of other iOS devices being unofficially installed with iWork, however it would appear that they are working on it so we will keep you posted for more news on this…

  • If an app is useful, it’s only a matter of time until it is altered for use on other platforms it seems. The use of apps is growing and growing, with competitions such as http://www.ukesnc.com aiding that growth, and it is becoming clear that people are no longer just after gaes, but useful, usable products to enhance their mobile experience.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
