With the iPhone 4 news slowly filtering out, it would appear that the Android smartphones are start to take over the gadget headlines.
With the release of the Android latest OS, Froyo 2.2 a couple of days ago, news is coming in thick and fast regarding what current phones will be getting the new OS update, as most of the phones currently include the Android 2.1 or an older version of the OS.
However, instead of following the same route of the latest Android phones, Huawei have taken the leap to offer Android 2.2 on their latest handset which is expected to be launched sometime in August.
The Huawei handset is expected to be an entry level smartphone which will include 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2MP camera which would possibly support dual-LED flash, and HSDPA 3G connectivity.
I suspect that other new phones will follow the same path as the soon to be launched Huawei 2.2 Froyo handset.
