iPhone 4 Release Date Creates Massive Queues At Apple Stores Across The Country

Whether you love or hate it Apple, you can’t help but be impressed by the ability of the company to produce a consumer frenzy when they release a new product and today is no different – as there are queues stretching for hundreds of metres at Apple Store’s across the country.

None more so than at the flagship store in London’s Regent Street, as an estimated 1,000 people begun queuing at 8am.

Some had even become camping since Tuesday in order to be the first few people to get their hands on the most advanced smartphone available.

Apparently ten pre-order customers are being admitted to the store for every one who hasn’t pre-ordered, so if you plan on picking up a spontaneous purchase you could be in for a long wait.

Similar scenes are being repeated across the country and at the Apple Store in White City, West London, there’s 1,000 strong queue snaking round the whole of the top floor of the shopping centre, as well as downstairs and out of the front door.

An Apple spokesperson said the people queuing downstairs would be leaving empty handed as the store doesn't have enough stock for them.

Are you in an Apple snake? let us know how long you have been waiting below…..

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
